There are no extra holes on the snare according to the owner other than a vent hole. I thought that all 4103 came with a muffler.
Am I incorrect

yes you're incorrect; 4103T was the "part" number denoting "tone control".
not all 4103 ( mine for example) had the ..."T"one control..

4103- without tone control
4103T- with

See band/student cases in the 66 catalog)

I have 4103's both with and without mufflers. This snare has the wrong throw and butt on it. It will have 2 extra butt (plate) holes and 4 extra throw holes as a result and 4 new holes were made. Without the badge and key holder, it's definitely not worth the price asked, but someone bought it. The throw is $80 New (its a repro) and butt is $30, but the rest is not worth it. And wrong hoops! Run!
