What is your holy grail cymbal? I suppose for me, it's the 22" Paiste Sound Creation Bell Ride. I have the 20". I have a 26" Giant Beat that I wouldn't depart with. 14" 602 hats are ones that I love. Maybe a china cymbal that I like LOL

That we own or that we dream of finding? That I own, 18” and 20” small stamp A’s that are just perfect crashes to my ears. The one I hope to find is a bright but somewhat crashable 26” old A.

Cymbals I own -
Zildjian 17" Dark Crash (1989) though a new Istanbul Agop 17" Dark Crash is very similar.
Istanbul Agop 20.5" Mel Lewis 1982 Ride

Cymbals I don't own -
Paiste Signature 20" Flanger Ride
Whatever China cymbal Phil Collins used on "Abacab"

It's pretty new for me, but I'm really digging my 21" Avedis (reissue)! I've played a couple of gigs with it so far and it sounded fantastic!

I’m not sure if it’s a grail but a Paiste Masters 24” Thin. I’ve got the 20”&22” and they are beautiful pair, I’d really like the 24” in there

Larger rides sing sweeter. I am certain a 24" thin sings like a songbird!

All my rides are 24” and Paiste. A Giant Beat, a 2002 Big Beat and a Masters JR deep Ride. I’ve got a 24” 2002 Ride on the way which I’m looking forward to. To round them off I’ve also got a 24” 2002 JR swish which is a beauty. I’ve got one 22” ride which is the Masters Thin which I really use as a crash/ride in quieter rooms or rehearsals.
Ive got an eye open for a 26” Giant Beat but I’m thinking I’ll have to just order one unheard/ unplayed.

26" Giant Beats are an experience. They can seem overwhelming, but once you figure out ALL of those voices and how to access them, you're happy for all that real estate!

A 22" A Zildjian Swish Knocker that's thin — around 2100 g. OR a plain old 22" A Zildjian swish that's 1900 – 2000 g. As long as the crash has more "pssshhh" and less "kang" than my current Swish Knocker (2422 g). I have all the other cymbal jobs well covered.

EDIT: The only cymbal I own that I would consider "holy grail" (impossible to replace) is my 18" A Zildjian Thin Crash (1249g) that I got nearly two years ago. For me, it has the perfect combination of explosiveness, body, and sparkle, and it speaks quickly even when struck softly and gets out of the way quickly. What makes it my Holy Grail is that it's a 100% exact replacement for another 18" A Zildjian Thin Crash that I owned and loved, but was stolen... 50 years ago! During those 50 years I've owned a dozen different 18" A Zildjian Thin Crashes, and this is the only one that duplicates all of the qualities of the one that was stolen a half-century ago.

I don’t have one. I’m perfectly happy with my above average cymbals that are nothing special ;)
