Ha Yes you were showing it some exuberant love.
at first I thought it was a Sound Creation DR then I noticed.
Need on the left more grit and grime like a sc Dark 18 or..i dunno what else does Curly have.

I think I like it better than my scdr..
It so beautiful to crash..and has that hint of trash..and more seperation between stick/wash...

Sounds really good, TK. I can imagine this thing sounding even better in a larger room where it can settle right in the middle of the mix.

What possessed to consider another Rough? You have three now, no? Great cymbals. I think you've inspired me to bring out mine for this week's recording session.

I had two
Sold both

Im learning a lot

1. These DO NOT have the paiste consistency production

2. Some were made with 6" bells, some with 5.25/5.5" bells.
The smaller belled ones are a bit more controlled/mellow. The bigger belled are lighter and more spread.
Personal preference...both great

3. The small bell I had was great..but this one is even better because it has a bit more trash and air/smoke..and edge is thin and crashable.

4. I only have this one now

5. I just wanted a full paiste signature set...and I think with the 13 mediums and the following options for left side
17 fast crash
18 mellow crash
20 full crash
20 proto with drilled out crack

I am set.

The rivets do a lot to mellow out both this 22 and the SC you posted earlier.

You make them all sound great.

I think that was a Keltner go to for a while, his Signature choice. I can hear it on some records for sure.

Can you link me?

I have been trying to find a Keltner clip with a RR and never have found one.

So true. Tom gets way better sounds than I could out of this cymbal.
Yeah man. I was really excited about how good that ride sounds, but then I remembered that if I owned it, it would never sound as good as you can make it sound, Tom.

How did you know to buy one again if you had a few before and they didn't do it for you? Did you just start measuring bells?

Not to be nitpicky, Tom, but I didn't get that set of 13 mediums to you until January 2nd. True, they were paid for and shipped in 2019, but just barely. ;-)
