Forgive me if this is a dumb question - I'm pretty new to e drums. I own an Alesis Surge module and I'm considering picking up a SamplePad Pro. I just don't understand how to connect the two. Essentially I just want to hear the samples that I load on the sample pad while my headphones are plugged into the module but I can't find any info on the best way to do this. Would I just use the aux in of the module and like the headphone jack of the sample pad? Or the main out of the sample pad and a 1/8in to 3.5mm adapter? Or maybe something else entirely? Thank you in advance for any help!

I think this is your answer: 2. Aux In: Use a standard 1/8” stereo cable to connect this input to an optional audio player (e.g,. MP3 player, CD player, etc.). This audio will be heard in the Outputs and Phones output.

You could use the headphone or the output port on the back. The difference would be stereo or not.
