I'd say this is rare. If it's real.

It almost looks fake! I've never seen one of these in the citrus mod. You see a lot of the metal 70's "downbeat" piccolos but not the wrapped ones.

It's a rare-bird alright. Looks legit to my eyes. It's over $400 in the bidding so far, so we're not the only ones watching it. Can't be many of those around. Jazz snare in a rock & roll finish... weird.

Looks legit to me. Grommet and badge appear unmolested, wrap has scratches...pretty sweet! However, in the '75 catalog, that snare in a wood shell config isn't offered. I think the last year the Jazz Combo was offered was '67 or '68.
Maybe things aren't as they seem now that I think about it.

It would look nice with my 20-12-14 set in CM except mine are natural on the inside and not white.

Yes, I think this is a 3 x 13 Jazz Combo shell from the mid 60's, possibly already drilled, that hung around the factory, until someone custom ordered one sometime in the early 70's, with the Citrus Mod finish. Since Ludwig discontinued this model by the late 60's, this makes perfect sense. I would be interested to see if the interior is white, and, what the serial number is.

The wrap looks to be the real deal. I suppose it could have been "harvested" off of something else but a nice citrus mod 16" floor tom is probably worth a whole lot itself so doing so wouldn't make much sense to rip one up.

We'll find out when Bun buys it.

Figure this psych red one from the 71 catalog is out there somewhere too....$77.00

The Jazz Combo model is in the '71-1 catalog and so is Citrus Mod. Rob Cook's book says between '70 and '71 "Nearly all shells began to receive interior granitone paint".
