I have no need for a new drum set, but I often find myself dreaming about buying a new kit.

For me, if I were to buy a new set of drums, it would probably be a Gretsch Broadkaster in tangerine sparkle in a 20/12/14/16 set up.

What about you?

Own Gretsch Catalina maple and Gretsch Brooklyn, both 22, 10, 12, 14(cats), 16(brooks).

Only other set I want is a bop size broadkaster with die cast hoops

A Broadkaster in bop sizes, or, perhaps, USA Customs in the same sizes. My dream kit has been fulfilled (a Brooklyn Micro Kit). Oh, and WMP or Silver Oyster would be my finish choices, although Deep Cherry Burst Gloss is a favorite too.

The only way I'm getting new drums is if I win the lottery, so my lottery kit would be: Craviotto single-ply mahogany (green pearl wrap) with Diamond lugs, probably in the same sizes I'm currently using: 22/22/12/13/14/16, plus a Rogers Dyna-Sonic 6½ x 14 snare in green pearl.

If I were to splurge I wouldn’t mind owning a Craviotto or Noble and Cooley on top of my Gretsch kits one day. I’m 32 and doing alright for myself, so we shall see!

I dreamed and still dream of a set just like Stanton Moore. 12/14/16/20 Gretsch Brooklyn in Creme Oyster. I was going to save up and order one prior to Covid hitting but I got an amazing deal on a "used" Ludwig Classic Maple in the exact same configuration that I just couldn't pass up.

If I hit the lottery, I feel like my options would be complete with a 13x9, 14x10, 16x16, 18x16, 24x14 and a 12x8,14x14, 20x14 both in black diamond pearl either vintage Rogers or brand new Ludwig legacy maples would do fine
