Call it the Bermuda effect.

I had two 15" marchers I converted to toms...I owned a 26" Bass drum Bermuda says they made for him but he didn't ask them for.
I've got a few concert toms I'm tempted to part with...but yesterday...

I had picked up a 6x14 8 lug with a p85 knock off and the drum sounded huge...lots of resonance and a sound that to be reminded me a bit of a Legend Bronze snare i owned briefly....for the ska reggae stuff we were doing it was a great sound...

I still respect my Impacts. I gigged, toured and recorded with them for 22 years, and they always sounded great. I only switched because they stopped making drums (and stuck with bags & cases,) but to be clear, I'm thrilled with my Ludwigs! I still have 4 Impact kits and snares. They don't get any use, but I just can't part with them.

I had never had a snare until this year...OMG...so musical and aggressive...was going to message you and thank you for turning me on to them....still thinking I may make a concert tom kit with the Impact Quads I have (and now w/Inde mounts it could be a lot easier!).
