I love my Slingerlands! In no particular order, here are all the kits that I've had the pleasure to own...some of which are still in my possession! I've had/have quite a few snare drums, too, but will have to track down all the pictures!

You know it man! I was just saying to myself that nobody, but nobody, did black diamond Pearl like Slingerland. I would hope the new owners could bring back that beautiful wrap...

My '79/'80 BDP. My "basement Bonham" kit. 13,16,18,22 - factory virgin kick and rack tom. I do like staring at those diamonds.

Man, I sure do love this thread. So many beautiful drums. Slingerland had their own aesthetic and it's clear that so many tried to copy it.
Everything looks so good together. The lugs and rims togeth just make them look so sturdy and correct. Love the streamlined feel. I hope when they bring them back they pay homage to the aesthetic in a tasteful way, while not just completely carbon copying them.

Wow. I had no idea that this site has so many Slingerland owners with such beautiful kits. My favorite colors are always WMP and mahogany. Did I say wow?

Here's another one. I like this one. Nice deep tones.

This one, while beautiful, really didn't float my boat. I could never get my head around a Slingerland 20 inch bass drum. It never quite felt balanced. No idea why. But the kit turned out beautiful and it sounded incredible.

There are quite a few more, but I’m gonna stop here and just enjoy other drummers kits. I am having the shakes with a few of them ... Black Diamond Pearl (big chip!), Blackrome!, Natural Woooood!!!
