I'd say only if you see the same line on the other side....looks like a scratch.

That just looks like someone dragged it across the top of a cymbal stand post. Totally harmless.

Depends how deep it is. A scratch, forget about it.
Deeper than a scratch, cracks don’t get smaller, and they don’t stay the same. If it’s a crack, it’s a dealbreaker.

It’s a scratch - cymbal was $240; pretty good deal. Thanks boys!

Glad you found it’s just a surface scratch, but nonetheless test the cymbal playing it softly with a mallet near the scratch area, if you hear the slightest amount of rattling or metal rubbing it could be something to worry about.

Looks like a scratch made by a rivet from another cymbal. It happens if you drag two pies against each other when pulling out of a cymbal bag
