I saw that earlier today and I agree, it's beautiful! 8) That copper plating just stands out so well next to the chrome hardware.
My budget won't allow, you should pick it up and show it off.

our budgets sound very familiar. :D . would love to have it but someone else is gonna have to enjoy that one. i imagine that was a costly restoration for the guy to do. i sure looks good though.

Yep, trying to live a champagne lifestyle on a beer budget sometimes........... :(
Maybe someone around here skipped the bubbly this month....I would love to see some better / up close shots of this.

must be some kind of process to do it properly. i know a lot of motorcycle parts are aluminum then copper and then chrome. they hold up great.

Isn't that why some 70's 400 series Lud snare drums have the chrome peeling problem, because they skipped the copper adheasion part of the process?
