Tell me about it because I don't know much about Slingerland. what do you think? Is it worth $200? These are the only pictures I have now:

No.

No lines around the center means it is a steel shell student drum. Probably an OK drum but certainly not a $200 drum

Yup, steel student model... I believe these didn't have bearing edges. Just a folded over edge.

$50-$75.
Or if it becomes your go- to drum and part of your signature sound?

Then its probably worth $2000

I just rehabbed one for a friend.
It actually sounded good all tuned up with a two ply head (not my choice).
$75-$100 tops.

Those steel Festival models are plentiful on the usual sites (ebay Reverb) but they're nothing special unless you need to rob the Rimshot counterhoops or Soundking lugs to install on another drum. :laughing6:

I actually bought a MINT condition one at the Hollywood Drum Show a few years ago for $100. To me it really sounded very nice. It was a student model snare but I got a very nice crack out of it. I kept if for a couple of years and then took the rims and throw off and replaced the missing parts with not so clean parts. I got $100 for it and they guy told me he loves it.

I have this one. Love it. Tune it very high. Not sure I paid more than $65 for it.

I've been given 2 for free. I gave one away again and rebuilt the other one with my daughter for her to learn on.
