Came across this guy looking for some Istanbul Mehmet demos. Not sure if his stuff has been posted here before or not, but this is about as good as I have ever seen or heard for a ride demonstration. I know the Mehmets seem to lack some of the respect the Agops get, but I have a few of them and appreciate the Mehmets for my needs. I think the videos do a good job representing how good the Mehmets sound without a lot of malarkey getting in the way lol. Not to mention the guy has some pretty good hands.

edit: drummer's name is Dušan Černák, from Prague.

In the first video, the second cymbal from the right is exactly what I've been seeking when it comes to sound quality. It sounds like wind thru the trees!

MC Jazz Ride...it’s my go to 20” jazz ride.

Although I do have a nice set of Agops (30ths, Sigs, Turks, Epochs), Mehmet tone is exactly what I’m looking for in a jazz cymbal. Just a touch of dryness/darkness/complexity...
