Love Aaron Scott, beautiful movement, nice swing.

Are those Istanbul Ottoman or Sultan (concert is from 1997, so just after split)

Probably on the heavier side, not like Sultan Jazz made today (lighter then regular Sultan, that are around 3000-3200 gram).

Thinking of custom ordering a 22” Agop Sultan weighing in at 2700-ish gram, like a 22” Bosphorus Antique...

Or just wait for the old gold to appear.

Recently scored a 14” Ottoman crash, paper thin, perfect as hi hat top.

Over and out.

My Question was more about this particular ride Aaron Scott plays (cant see the underside)

I don’t think the Agop Ottomans are a catalog item anymore. But Sultans are still available.
Nope, that's right, Ottomans are not available. I guess the closest thing would be the Idris Muhammad, with unlathed bottom, but without dual lathing on top.

So, actually went ahead and ordered a 22” Bos Antique (after coming home from the bar...). With a nice triangle of rivets. 2750-2850 gram-ish. Let’s see.

That's HeavY Dude, but you want to project...you'll reach back "to the Kitchen" with it :)

"Tractuary" owns a 22" Antique I'll get him to Chime in..
I should have mentioned that..

Yep, but still not as heavy as an Agop Sultan. I have enough thin(ner) 22” rides (1735-2350 gram) so all good.

I just need more ping! Love this sound:
