Luca Ingletti. Pull him up on YouTube and Old School Drummers. He can play any style with perfection. Any studio could use him as a session player.

That's Very Funny... The other half is Sicilian!! I'll have to Try The Italian Grip!! I'm Italian by Nationality (My parents were Born in Croatia 1921-23, when Croatia was under a Italian Flag ruled by Mussolini - we all know how that went!). They were Italian Citizens, spoke both Italian and Croatian (Slavish). They Emigrated (Legally - in 1951, my mother pregnant with me) from Trieste (the most Northeastern City in Italy, bordering Croatia and Slovenia [Think Melanai Trump]. There are very Few people that I have met from Trieste in my area (NY Metro). But when I have, I understood their Dialect perfectly. Can't Understand too much (or maybe none) of Sicilian - it's like an entire different Language. This is off Topic - but for you Foreign Flick fans out there, Watch Cinema Paradiso (made in Sicily) for a good laugh and nice feeling!. It has English by lines to follow.
Sicily is one of the autonomous regions of Italy, so technically that statement is accurate. That's Very Funny... The other half is Sicilian!!
Another flick that shows the stark differences between Italians and Sicilians is Johnny Stecchino. Very funny movie. That's Very Funny... The other half is Sicilian!! Yes, That is True!! They are known to be: Testa Duro!! Hard Heads ...Sicily is one of the autonomous regions of Italy, so technically that statement is accurate.
... and shooting donkeys to clear a bridge that halted his movement north to Palermo.Yes, That is True!! They are known to be: Testa Duro!! Hard Heads .... Home of the Original MAFIA! If you watch the Movie Patton (actually a Must See Movie) made in 1970, you will see how General Patton liberated Italy driving up from Sicily.

Lets not forget his brother Rick!Jerry Marotta enters the chat...
I assume, on a 12 year-old thread, Jerry has been mentioned. Just in case not...
I'm from the province of Quebec, the heart of french Canada and really never knew Morello had a connection to our heritage. I think next to nobody knows that fact here because the music intelligentsia from Montreal (wich has a long standing love affair with jazz) would've been all over this...My understanding is that Joe Morello's father - Joseph - was from the south of France and that Joe's mother - Lillian nee LaPalme - was French-Canadian.
If you're into Roberto Benigni, check out "The Monster"; one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.Another flick that shows the stark differences between Italians and Sicilians is Johnny Stecchino. Very funny movie.
Joe LalaThere are an awful lot of Italian drummers, aren't there? My dad always said he thought many Italians have a certain hyped-up energy that translates well into a physical instrument like the drums. This came up briefly at NAMM when I found myself surrounded by some other Italian brothers at the Ludwig booth. Can you name them all?
