current hotdog is this cat Joe Dart of Vulfpeck who I've only been aware of since the first of the year...there's video of him playing solo @ Madison Square Garden and the sold out crowd is singing bass lines with him...

Yeah! His Fearless Flyers work is jaw dropping. (not to mention the mighty Nate S.)
I can watch/listen to this over and over

I'll just say who I'd love to play with (that I can think of just now), if I could, or could have: Charlie Haden, Mark Helias, Jimmy Garrison, Charles Mingus, Will Lee, Dave Holland, John Kahn, Klaus Voorman, Tim Drummond... but in general, I love playing with good bass players, and I get to do it a lot, so I'm happy!
