The best photos I've seen (I'm an amateur photographer) were all Getty Images, so licensing some of those will give you the best quality.
Those photos include stints Jim did with Derek & The Dominoes, Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs & Englishmen, Johnny Rivers, Frank Zappa, Delaney & Bonnie, and others - he toured with

Here are low-res (and watermarked) copies of some of the best photos I've seen of Jim.

Those came from Getty? I have scoured Getty and found precious little. What am I doing wrong? This one is pretty cool.

Please post back here and remind us when your book comes out. I would think its the first bio of Jim Gordon.
If interested, there are also a number of pics of Jim on a thread title 'Jim Gordon' on Drummerworld board.

Thanks for asking. "Killer Drummer" will be published Feb '24 by Diversion Books. I'll check for the thread.

OK big thanks. I went back to Getty and drilled down. Found much more. Good tip.

He had (or has) a brother named John Gordon. He certainly would have acquired the family estate and photos.

Hi Joel,
I'm from the Bay Area and am familiar with your name. Welcome to this great drum forum. BTW, I think once your book is finished, it would be great to hear your story on a drum Podcast such as John DeCristopher's and the Drum History Podcast by Bart van der Zee.
