Julien’s Auctions held a Music Icons sale over the weekend.

A John Bonham kit described as used in “The Song Remains the Same” sold for $106,250 — five times higher than the pre-auction estimate.

Says it right in the auction ; It's the 18" set! lol
PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES
Four-piece jazz-size transparent acrylic drum kit in amber. Features an 18" bass drum, so likely a floor tom conversion (perhaps by Mick Hinton, Bonham's drum tech /PA, mate, and subject of urban legend). Possibly a factory conversion as it only has the holes and imprint for one floor tom leg not three. Either way very rare and equally desirable heritage. Also includes a matching 12" rack tom, 14" floor tom, and a 14" snare drum. Vintage lightweight hardware: snare stand, cymbal stand, hi hat stand, floor tom legs (two of three match), and bass pedal.
Amazing

I can't imagine ever being in that position

and won't. As long as whomever bought it is happy I think it's a "fun" thing for 'that set" to surface..
Who ever thought that set would come to see the light of day
with some details too
I don't take it personally Just a
Surprise Shocker it'd be that home set

It was Eric Singer's kit.

If I had to spend $106K on a Bonham owned kit it sure as hell wouldn’t be that one. Green sparkle is the best flavor…

Kind of thought the kid would have gotten a set of Ludwigs. I mean, his old man might have known some peeps at the factory.
