Jonathan Mover has put together a hand-picked group of progsters to form a group called Progject to do a tour featuring a bunch of their favorite prog tunes (set list includes material from "Genesis, Yes, King Crimson and ELP, along with some Pink Floyd, Rush, Jethro Tull, Peter Gabriel"). Tour was originally scheduled for 2010, but oops, bad timing. No specific US dates set yet, but it looks like they're gearing up to hit the road soon.

They have a web site and FB page and a teaser on YouTube:

For the gear-heads among us, there's lot of drum porn of Jonathan's leviathan kit - pretty fabuloso.

What? No sample of GTR's When the Heart Rules the Mind?

I was always amused by the stories from when Jonathan Mover almost joined Marillion. Fish couldn't stand him because he was a hard guy just to hang out with and have a chat down at the pub. All poor Jonathan ever wanted to talk about were cymbals and bass drum pedals.

Come to think of it, Mover oughta get an account on DFO. He'd fit right in.

I love Fish era Marillion …..
Me too! Mover was actually the drummer in that band first, but Fish wanted Ian Mosley, so he was very rude to Jonathan - read the liner notes of Misplaced Childhood...

Yeah I can't really listen to Marillion since Fish left.
I do think Ian Mosley is very underrated. Seems like a nice guy as well. He responded to a few FB post questions I've had in the past.
He has a kit video on the Marillion YT page.
Switched to British Drum Company recently as well. Said Tama blew him off when he asked about a new kit. Pretty sure he was an endorser as well? He mentions Zildjian, Remo and Shaw sticks in the video.

There are a couple of good Hogarth songs , but for the most part I find his era rather dull .

It'll be interesting to see if he changes from the Black Beauty snare that he's always used. Not sure if he was a Tama endorser in recent times, he played a Yamaha 9000 initially before moving over.

Yeah, he had his BB snare in his kit video. Did mention Yamaha if i remember, made it clear he was a Tama guy for years.

I get it, the moneys in flash in the pan 16 year olds playing along to other peoples music. And I obviously don’t know the business side of Mosely/Tama but, I’m surprised if he was never signed by Tama.

Again criminally under rated. Clutching at Straws still gets put in the CD player a few times a month.

I saw a clinic of his here in Australia in the nineties. He's an incredible player and even played AVH's Hot For Teacher double bass drum shuffle on a single pedal, but unfortunately it was a bit of a snoozefest.

They ended up having to turn the lights on and shut down the sound on him otherwise he'd still be going.
