Fullerton blue onyx Rogers -

24 20 12 13 16 18 plus a snare and a 10" roto tom . Four , sometimes five cymbals plus hats . Used this for rock gigs through the 80's . Sold half and kept the 24 13 16 then sold that too . Not the smartest thing I ever did .

I found another one of those ridiculous kits from the bygone years of "CAN YOU SEE ME".
This was carted around for a few years. I think I was playing the Louisiana (New Orleans) / Texas circuit then. Anyway, it was back in the 80s.
Double Bass Premier kit with Slingerland Cut-A-Ways and a full Simmons kit with a bass that could be positioned so that I could look cool striking it above my head ... don't ask.

As a teenager and new-ish drummer, I bought and gigged a Pearl Masters MRX 8/10/12/14/16/22 plus 2 snares. On a rack with 4 crashes, 1 ride, 2 pairs of hats, 2-3 splashes, and 2 chinas.

What the heck was I thinking???

Now I’m down to bass, snare, 1up/1down, 2 crashes, hats, and ride.

My second kit that I got in the early 90s was a 6 piece (22/10/12/13/16/SD). I think I played one gig with three toms. After that I have never used more than two.
