This is a late 1970s 15x12 Slingerland marching snare from Northwest Webster (NWW) High School in Mason, IA.

This drum is the first time I've seen a school-specific custom wrap on a Slingerland marching snare. I'm sure it was not uncommon, but it's a first for me.

I thought the color and bulldog made this a mean looking drum.

I spent a few hours cleaning this piece. It shows some wear but is in overall solid shape. Waiting on a new resonate head to complete this project.

Serial number 387753, Niles badge.

I made this post to create a record of this neat drum.

Definitely a custom wrap for Slingerland at the time. School drums usually had three bands of school colors wrapped horizontally around the drum. Is it a 3 ply shell layup with rerings? Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum.

Yes, three-ply with rerings.

Thanks!
