Has anyone come across a metronome that flashes the beat? I don't want to use a click track, and all I need is a small flashing light to let me know if I sped up during one of those downhill choruses.
Thanks.

The Boss DB 30 will do it. Probably most metronomes will have a light and a volume control.

I'm a little late to this party, but... All of the Roland Dr. Beat metronomes (DB-30/60/90) have flashing LED indicators. They're not really big LED's, but they are there and serve the purpose.
I have an older DB-33 and also a DB-60 and do appreciate the visual indication.

I don't know what app Dave Majors is using here, but they visuals are pretty compelling...

Then there are the metronomes that also have a "pulse" feature that lets you feel the beat... like this one from Peterson Tuners called Body Beat Sync (there are other offerings from different companies)

EDT: Looks like they offer the Body Beat Pulse as a stand-alone as well, for a very reasonable price. It works with any metronome or metronome app!!!
