Yeah man. Be the boss and write checks. You'll even get great players that way. What you are trying to do with a variety/wedding band (per the last thread) is a business. Most businesses run in the red for a while at the beginning.

The reality is unless you are paying them .
Unless you are the lead vocalist or songwriter …

You will not be looked to as band leader …

Even if you book the gigs , it won’t matter ..

I supply every thing but amps and guitars , I do interviewing I decide who is in . If the person cant look me in the eye he is gone . Not making the same mistake , as I said I am going to rock my way . NO MORE ROCK STARS . My primary guitar player commented last practice " I had fun " My Base Player Smiled , My Wife commented on my drumming Said you look happy and you Guys sound good for just getting together . My 1 guitar player will be working with me , He knows the notes I know the beats .
