I’m going to weigh in with the opposite end of the spectrum with this Tama Club Jam . Not exactly bop. Certainly not high end. But at least it has an 18 inch bass drum.

I like to contribute to threads, even if I technically don’t have a right to.

esprit de corps and what not.

Not mine anymore, but worth mentioning still, due to its sheer beauty and great sound.

The Club Custom in Black Swirl (this one had a 16'' floor, which was the main reason why I sold it).

The 1st generation Oak Custom in Musashi Black, with Vintage Hoops.

The PHX with an extra 10'' tom. I used this killer rig for more then 1,5 year live and in the studio.

Frank, you dropped so much coin on those lovelies, you forgot to set aside money for stands and cymbals.

Priorities, buddy.
LOL! I did pay the piper; not once but twice. I had 2 Rosewood Phonic inside out rosewood 12 14 18 bops. Sold one and kept one.

I have a full set of Phonic hardware, but it’s so bulky and heavy. I prefer old Yammy 700 stuff. Shelly M. was an endorser for a short time. I read that he loved the sound, but gave them up; too heavy. He didn’t have a drum tech / roadie and these things are tough on old men.

I also have an Onyx SonorLite bop which is less the half the weight of the Phonic

Summit Drums Flamed Maple steambent kit
Sizes are 20 x 10 bass ; 12 x 6 rack tom and 14 x 7 large tom . I am so impressed with the build quality of these drums . Bearing edges are the smoothest I have ever seen and just superb sounding drums . Gary Posey knocked it put off the park with this kit . If I was forced to keep just one drum set , this would be it .

Orphan rewrap - 70's 12", 14"x12" powertom flipped over and FT legs drilled, NOS Jasper 18" built out by Sam Bacco (I added a paper tag saying so). No mount, but I have the Ludwig-like center post that isn't great or the big weird short-lived 70's rail and am just indecisive.

ETA: I have a correct 70's 14"x14" shell & wrap in the basement, but holy cripes I hate wrapping.
