Rescuing off of page 4.... come on folks, I know we have more gas in this tank. Heck, we've posted over 300 different solid shell snares in that that thread already (of course it only took 4 years) but this is BRASS... you have a brass snare holding up one corner of your bed for goodness sakes!

Another former owned, a little Ludwig black magic!

In the Slingerland VS Ludwig battle, Slingerland beat the socks off of Ludwig in the solid steam bent thread. But THIS brass thread is going to be Ludwig redemption to be sure! After just 50 post (and not all have pics) we are at 88 different snares (if I counted correctly) with Ludwig blowing everything away with 31 already! Out of 20 brands posted thus far, Ludwig has 35% of the total, so far the best of the rest is thier old pal Slingerland with 8 or just 9%!

I have a rare one which I bought out of curiosity and thought I would see if I could do anything with it. I couldn't. It's a solid brass Indian made marching snare with belt hook as seen. The tuning is from reso side only with those large wing nuts ....no strainer but just a couple of knobs either side to tie something to....
