I’m going to add a remote hat assembly to my kit to improve my posture behind the kit for pocket time keeping. I use 13” K Custom Dark hats now on traditional left side.

What should I expect from a lighter and/or thinner hi hat set and what should I be looking at? All my cymbals are Ks.

no volume

if you play in a setting that gets loud, you may end up over-bashing in order to be heard

that usually leads to injury/tendon issues

I didn't know they made a lighter set of hi hats than 13" K Custom Darks anywhere if you move up to thin 14" hi hats you'll be about at the weight -combined, you have already. In other words in every way you move upwards they-the remotes- are going to be (likely) heavier.

Now if you go under the 13"s you have now, you may get lighter
that'd be like, 11"s
