New Year’s resolution is to take up electric bass as a second instrument. Looking for a used beginner bass that’s not terrible, preferably 2-300. Am I allowed to do that on here?

Sure you are. I’ve got a Squier Vintage Modified 70s Jazz bass if you’re interested. Looks like this:

I can get you actual pictures if you’re into it.
I have this bass too. Great value, sounds like the real thing when you record it.

Of course you can do that here!!!!!!
Every drummer should plomp around on a bass....even just to see stuff from the other side (of the rhythm section).
I split my time between drums and synthesis/sound design as my “job”, and have a bass and guitar to twiddle around on. I can’t really “play” the guitars per se but they sure are fun.
When teaching I do play the bass a bunch, and I can do some rudimentary bass figures so the student can experience a bit of the “locking in” experience...lol....
A nice pair....(along with a Trace Elliot blx 80 and one of those Yamaha thr guitar amps as well.....)....a ‘95 Epiphone Rivoli bass and a ‘70’s Univox “Melody Maker”. The Bigsby was already put on the Univox and the previous owner of the Rivoli replaced the pickup with a DiMarzio!!!!!!
