Have one with the dips ..but ..drum looks like it was very well taken care of….

I dont see any marks that someone hit it with anything….Seems like there would be some……

anyone else ever see that?

Want to sell it…but..dont want to say factory..if it is not..

Cant say I have ever seen that before….

Also…bottom 1/2 of drum has some scratches…..which I think are NON factory…
YOu know how drums get like a film inside sometimes…I think the person took some

Hard to show the dips…as they are not so deep….and I am not using a Leica camera or anything!

I wouildn't automatically rule out the mfg process causing those hairlines. I've seen something similar before on finished metal snare interiors.
Might be able to tell more under 5X to 15X magnification. Should verify if they are raised or incuse. I could see the factory trying to polish out
a defect following manufacture of the shell.

It's a 50 yr old used drum. I've seen similar minor blemishes on assorted aluminum Ludwig shells over the years I don't see anything alarming here. I don't like to see the scratching on the inside of the shell you should probably mention that as well. It is what it is.

I will mention the scratches inside..and dips..definitely!

I was going to ask $800..with fiber case…but thinking more like $700-750 now..

There is a 70s 402 on ebay for $1,200…and…2 on Reverb…same price…so..I fell my price is fair!
