Hello everyone, I've got an acoustic kit that I want to sell but not sure what to sell it for. I realise this isn't in the sale section and that's because I need advice please.

When I looked at everything thrown in, including extra, I thought £300.00 was reasonable.

Can you please tell me what you think?

Ludwig Accent CS Combo Drum Kit

Includes:

22″ x 16″ Bass Drum
14″ x 6.5″ Snare Drum
10″ x 8″ and 12″ x 9″ Rack toms
16″ x 16″ Floor tom

Cymbals:

13″ Hi Hats
16″ Crash Cymbal

Hardware:

200 Series Straight Crash Cymbal Stand
200 Series Hi Hat Stand
201 Series Snare Stand
Chain Drive Kick Pedal

Extras thrown in:

Remo ambassador drum heads (full set, sound fantastic)
Hi hat Clutch (aftermarket, holds the hi hat cymbals much better)
Drum key

Kit only used for practice, in fair condition (wrap blistered in places on bass drum from sun exposure). Minimal scratching on bass drum hoop where pedal mounted. Surface scratch on top of bass drum from tom scuffing during mounting.

Selling as too loud for a semi-detached property whilst all neighbours in 24/7 lockdown (I'm buying an electronic kit, sad to see this go).

Thanks for your help.

I don't think it's completely unreasonable. It is an entry level kit, so you may have to expect some entry level budget bargaining when you do list it. If it sits for a while then you know that you'll need to adjust the price a bit. Patience may be a virtue as you may find a fair amount of gear competing in the entry level.

If you're not struggling for money or don't want the sales hassle, consider a donation to a youth group/music program/ or some deserving youngster. Don't know if there are tax advantages available for your donate like here in the U.S.???

If I was selling the kit with only original hardware, I certainly wouldn't expect anything in that region.

My Wife wants me to sell it to recoup as much as I can towards the new eKit so I'm just checking with you guys first.

I can't speak to their market value across the pond but state-side one would be looking at about $350.

I would say that in most American markets your price of $300 is almost perfectly positioned to compete with other kits.

Thanks Snappy, let's see what others say too.
