Regarding the badge: Ludwig added the black outline around the serial number in ~1982 according to Rick Gier's book.

Depending on condition, I'd think if you list it locally (Craigslist/FB Marketplace) for under $200 it would move pretty quickly and you could avoid the hassle shipping.

I was lucky enough to pick up the ones I have a few years ago when they were $125/$150 all day long. Good score for you at $140 IMO, assuming original parts and 100% functional...

I've flipped 4-5 acros in the past year in the $150-200 range pretty quickly. I picked them all up for $50-75, cleaned them up and through some new heads on them. Your looks pretty good so I would ask $200 for it.

Just don’t be the guy that thinks they’re worth 300. See a lot sitting at 300 till they realize they have to drop the price.

Have you received the drum yet? How are the studs on the lugs? My experience with the lugs on that generation of Acrolites is that the lugs
are sometimes prone to breakage.

I have a 84 and I tunes it right bottom medium tight top and so far no cracking or anything. Ima gonna go knock on wood now lol
