Can any of you fine gentlemen who use this mount bracket measure how far the mount sits proud of the shell please ? Seems like it sticks out quite a bit.

Measuring up for a case here, Many thanks.

It does, and is very heavy to boot. It also killed the resonance on my tom when I installed it.

I'd go with the Inde mount. It's much better.
Thank you, Do you know how far the Ludwig sticks out from the shell in total ? The Inde is 6cm.

So Inde is just under 6cm, Atlas is 7.5cm minimum. Thanks Gents

Thanks for the pics. That kit looks really lovely (and expensive :))

I was thinking more of the BR2 mounts which have large wingnuts that add a bit more length.(like a half inch maybe)

Wonder if anyone had to upsize their tom cases/bags after installing some BR2's.

If you use cases a lot, the new Atlas Ludwig wingnuts are an additional obstacle when fitting in a case.
I swapped all of mine with lower profile DW and Yamaha wing nuts.

You have to go up size on your case(s).
Yes, but if you buy a tear drop style case like Ahead they fit fine. However, I experimented with three mounts on a floor tom and I did have to get an up sized case. NOTE: Three mounts on my 14" did kill some tone. My rack toms never had more resonance but extreme angles will kill tone from any mount I would think.
