Most seem to either really like that wrap or not at all. I was never a big fan. But I've seen some nice examples in the last couple years that got my attention. Good luck! Hope you find what you want.

I have been somewhat of an Oyster Blue snob since getting my original kit in 1969 - never much cared for the bowling ball version.

However, I got a great deal on a Oyster Blue bowling ball kit a couple of years ago and they really grew on me as I cleaned them up. Now I think they look great and they sound just as good!

I still prefer the original wrap, but these drums are a close second. As a side note, I think they look far better with white coated heads than with clear heads.

Why don't the black versions of this wrap pop up that often? The blue is nice, but the black has something about it.
