Here’s a very nice Black Beauty in the Millenium configuration. Brass finish tube lugs, die cast hoops, die cast butt and P-86 strainer. I also replaced the chrome tension rods with brass finish rods because they really pull the look together. 6.5x14 size.

No damage to the shell or hardware, however the clear coat finish shows some wear/oxidation and minor scratches. The P-86 also shows some plating wear on the sides. See the pictures and feel free to ask questions. The batter head has life left but you probably will want to swap it out. Original snare side head is in nice condition, as are the original Ludwig snappy snares.

Was 640, now $625 INCLUDING shipping and PayPal in the US48.

Nice!
Is this a new one that can't be engraved?
I don't know. I got it used, and haven't been able to reach Mr. Aldridge about engraving a drum for me. This isn't the one I was going to use but I could have asked him if we had spoken.

He's out on the road now with REO, he still has my 8 lug shell and was still waiting on Ludwig to decide if they'd replace it for me, funny all the years that I've stood up for them you'd think the one time I have an issue they'd come through to fix it, but then again none of the old regime is there any more.

Why can't it be engraved....that would look even sweeter!
Not sure if it can or not, yes it would look great. The newest version of the BB drums has a different plating somehow that causes the engraving tool to skip and scratch the drum, so John Aldridge isn’t going to do them anymore if they were made past a certain date. I don’t know the born-on date for this drum.
