That’s what I was thinking, I guess a new name makes it a new snare someone must buy vs just giving the Copperphonic a bow tie lug option?

I think that brushed shell finish looks great on both variants!

I bought a Supralite 5x15 (for cheap!) because I wanted the tube lugs. I swapped them for Imperial lugs and sold it as a "steel Supra". Got enough to cover the snare + Imp. lugs so I got the tube lugs for free. It was a great drum but just too loud and ringy for jazz.

As I was reading I noticed the new shells are labeled 1mm thick, instead of 1.2mm on the Copperphonic.

Did he only use 1 mic? I only see 1. Either way, extremely good sounding demo.
