That was the only picture I could find of his drums. In the description it says that drumset was used in 1980-81, so indeed it is 6 ply. I believe when Michael joined in 1975 he had a similar natural Maple Ludwig set.

I've bought drums and I have worked with this seller. He is a fantastic guy and you can be certain that this is a great drum and a reasonable price. Can't say enough good things about this guy. Also a great player and true lover of vintage drums.

Is that a downbeat or a jazzette? That is a killer steal!
Thank you man...yea its a DOWNBEAT(20,12,14)...If it wasn't for the slight bit of ambering under the counter hoops from the heads i would swear it was a new nitro thermo-glass...good thing im a wood worker and i can tell old from new ;) super happy

Now that's a deal. I'd buy that kit for 20 times what you paid. Great job.

Can't say that I ever saw a downbeat in maple finish before. That one even pre dates Ringo's! Carmine can't argue this one!

Thanks! I look forward to seeing photos when you get them. Are the interiors of your latest score maple or mahogany?
