Hi guys, just wanting to clear something up. Ive been wanting to try a remo diplomat resonant head for my 60s artist model ( again after a few years) but I think heads might fit a bit tight on that drum. I came across the Ludwig c114 weather master extra thin head, thinking it might be 200 mil diplomat size also, but am now not sure it is, after reading an old thread saying it's probably 300 mil like an ambassador snare head. Does anyone know what size it really is? I've ordered one anyway after reading some good revues- a Xmas present from my Bev:angel8: sorry to be long winded about this, but I'm confused here as some sites advertise it as c114 and some others say c1114. Can anyone enlighten on this I.e. are there 2 different reso heads or is it the same one but a mistake? Thanks people and hope all is well from a very cold night in the UK.

There is only one Ludwig Weathermaster snare reso head AFAIK. Not sure of the thickness, but the collars are shallower than a standard Remo. I use them on all my snares.

Me too. I buy a box of them at a time.
