Intersting... The kit is a disaster and they are starting it at $300? I figure it's condition might ward off some folks (I would stay away from it) But if it stays low and goes for under $400 I think that's ok. I mean, you're looking at another $100+ in work perhaps. I spent about $130 getting my standards up to scratch, and they weren't near as crummy as this set. Good luck though, I hope somebody here needs one and snags it. Would be fun to watch another restoration thread!

I saw those too and had the same thought but didn't have time to post them. I'm on the fence on the color as the photos are not quite clear enough. I think it's Bronze Strata, which you don't see alot, but it could be Gold Strata. Both are cool colors and like JayT says with a little TLC they could be bargain priced 3 plies for someone if the price stays low.

Yeah...that's Bronze Strata. I have a snare in almost perfect condition, would love to have a kit to match. That kit could be fixed up nice, but I would want to stay around $300 shipped to make it worth my while.

Ouch!

Missed that part. Seems at least double what it should really cost to ship.
Takes the potential of a deal down several notches unless you could pick it up and avoid the shipping costs.

I was thinking about it- But between the photos, shipping cost & the missing hoop inlay, I have put myself on a ban.

Haven't shipped a set in a while. What does it cost today to ship a set across country?
I shipped a 22, 16, 13 a few months back for under $50.00. If I recall it was to Kentucky. They were telescope packed but thats what the buyer wanted...they eventually ended but in Sweden without a problem.
