I've seen or owned WFL 401's and 403's.
I've seen or owned pre serial number 401's and 403's.
I've not yet seen or heard of trans badge 401 or 403 models.
Anybody here seen or own one or the other?

I wish, to any of the above. Interesting point though, now that you mention it. Looking forward to hopefully some better replies than mine!

Thanks for posting replies and pics. It's great to know they're around.
Trans badge stuff seems a bit more difficult to find. I really dig the trans badge drums I have.
And of course, if anyone wants to "get rid of" theirs please let me know!

I'm a big fan of the Transition Badge drums myself & even more so the WFL drums.
I finally got my Transition Badge (1959 dated) Buddy Rich kit together with the matching wood & metal snares.
Man they sound great!

And that 403 pre serial is one of my greatest misses (by about 12 hours).
Dang.

I'm on the hunt for a 403 with any badge. I have a 401 that I would trade too if that brings one out of the woodwork.
