My first bass drum circa 1967 was recently found and brought home for some tlc. Still looking for the rest of the kit . In the meantime I have to re glue the ply’s and rings. Will be followed by new edges. Coming along slowly but nicely as I have a minute here and there.

Gorgeous drum. I swear I seen this someone where on the internet for sale can’t remember.
Yeah there’s a Whitehall out there in the internet marketplace needs everything and the wrap is cracked. I was going to grab it for wrap for inlay but he wants a lot for it and shipping is more than the drum. Thx!

I've seen your mad wood working skills JP. Looks like a fun project.
Vertical grain plys like a Saint George kit and other mid range 60's kits.
Love the wrap.

Thanks Sinclair! It's a fun one for sure as this drum takes me way back to fond memories of jamming in the basement up in Rochester with my brother on horn, he was Herb Alpert and I was Nick Ceruli! That Taste of Honey Album, a happy childhood memory!

I have a bunch of MIJ parts, would have to look to see if I have a match. What is the tread on that - standard US 12x24, metric M6x1.0 or something else?

You rock.
This has happened to me before when I was posting about something I was working on. Somebody was gracious enough to help for the sake of it!

Such a great community of folks here on DFO!
