Needed a trap case to replace mine as it was pretty beat up after all the years, saw this in the corner of the shop and asked if it was for sale? Guys said yes, so price was right, bought it. Turns out it belonged to Frank Capp, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Capp who worked with Sonny and Cher and did sessions in Hollywood, part of the 'Wrecking Crew'.

I could stay at this shop all day rootin' through old vintage parts...after buying so many speed king plungers and bearings and springs from the guys over the years I've lost count, lol

i don't know what's more surprising - that you were looking for a trap case, or that they had one in stock. i couldn't dream of lifting a full one these days.
I checked out what they had at Guitar Center on Sunset and most of the stuff was too big for the small trunk of my car. The one I got was exactly like my old one that was from the '60s but it didn't have casters, this one does, so it makes it a little easier. Frank's case was just sittin' there in the corner and was perfect.
