You kidding me? An offer of fine food, fellowship AND drums???? I hope one day I can take you up on that my friend!!!!!
BTW, look into these Summit Drums. They are very affordable considering that they are solid, steam bent drums...one ply with reinforcement hoops. They are way more affordable than you might think. Gary is a great guy to deal with and he is very fair with his pricing. About half the price of Craviotto solid drums...in that ball park.

Absolutely gorgeous drums! Aside from the species difference (walnut) Craviotto. kit, what would you say are the main differences both sonically and from the driver's seat? Congrats!

Curly Maple for life! We are brothers now, well kind of lol. Your kit is solid and prettier looking...

I’m going to have to get a solid Summit snare to match my babies. They look fantastic! You should get a discount for the free advertising lol.

Great question and honestly, there is no difference sonically. If you know the differences between a ply shell and a solid shell sonically, you are basically there. The Summit Drums stock edges are 30 degree vintage style, but Gary will do a 45 degree if you want it. The main difference is that the Summit Drums are more customizable in that you decide what hardware you want on them and supply the hardware to Gary. This opens up so many more options. The shells themselves are just beautifully made and the finishes are out of this world. I think that you have more options in terms of wood types available to you with Summit Drums too. Best of all, they are 1/2 the price! You can't beat that. You are getting solid, steam bent drums for the price of most other company's keller ply drums! I already have plans for a second kit. I just want to play these drums full time...they are THAT good!

Someone buy this drum, please, before I have to! Solid 7x14 Black Walnut Amish wood snare drum with COB tube lugs that now has vintage style stick savor hoops for only $550! I have personally played this drum and I can tell you that it is a PERFECT snare drum. The sound is so beautiful...fat, juicy, yet crisp and articulate.

When you price out a kit and realize that you would virtually spend more pricing out a Keller shell kit from any other manufacturer, never mind an actual solid, steam bent kit... Something special happens. You get the fever for the Summit Drums. Another forumite just bought Gary's personal home kit for a song. 14x22, 9x13, 16x16 with a matching 5.5x14 snare. The curly maple grain on this kit is even

nicer than mine. Some pictures are with flash and others, without flash so you can get an idea of the depth of the curly maple grain on these magnificent solid, steam bent shells that Gary Posey is making. Enjoy!

Like I shared with you, his personal kit had some amazingly exotic curly grain on every drum. It was pretty stunning. I think that that certain "somebody" :) will really love the drums, especially with the mounts installed!

I actually have one more walnut shell in this size but with curly maple rings waiting for someone to design their own instrument!
