I'd be worried about the black finish.
That stuff scratches so easily.

I have a special wrap that takes me less than a minute per drum to put around the Versatus every time I take it out and that thing is like glass with its finish , it’s just gorgeous , and I’ve had it now for about a little over a year an a half , and have taken it out at least over four dozen times … and not a scratch anywhere. The Masterworks I will use that same wrap because it fits those drums perfectly, so never chance of a scratch on that black :)

Wow! Nice drums, Mapex.
I've been thinking about a Masterworks kit for a while, too.
Was the process of getting the drums built difficult?
Is there a specific way to go about ordering Masterworks drums, or did you just visit your local Pearl dealer and tell them what you want?

@Houndog , I’ll see what I can do ,, and yes older footage.

@Steech , You are going to go nuts the Masterworks are fantastic in every way, you’re going to love them buddy! GET EXCITED!

@Elvis , not a hard process at all , you will throughly enjoy every step. You can build anything you want , anyway you want , and it’s as exciting as pie! Go to your local dealer - they’ll give you a one sided piece of paper to fill out for each drum ,, and it has every option imaginable on there to fill out. Also visit the site first , go to the Masterworks section and look at all the different options. When the drums arrive you will not regret it. If you need any other help just reach out to me anytime here or PM me or telephone number ,, if you need help I got you buddy.

Hey thanks man!
First I gotta buy a house, then I'll work on the Masterworks kit.
Thanks for the info. Really appreciate it.

No problem at all! But I don’t know , the Masterworks is so exciting to play , you may want to get one before you get that house!

…. Think of all the money you will save ,, well not really :)

I thought I would post a pic of the inside of the tom and floor tom , some of the finest woodwork I’ve ever seen and the bearing edges are absolutely meticulous!

Much better pics here , of the bearing edges , for the Masterworks guys …. And the dust in the above post pic drove me up a wall , so I had to dust it and post a new pic , instead erasing the old pic …. Darn OCD :)

Anyways The Masterworks -
