I'm not really into snares but have managed to accumulate a few of them. On my wishlist is to find a 3x14 Jazz Model or a oval badge Oaklawn 6.5x14 snare in natural maple like what DolFan54 has in his collection. And please post your Camco snare drums if you like...

For a guy who is "not really into snares", you have a lot of Camco snares.
I think that if you do find the drums on your wish list, you can officially consider yourself into snares, and very nice snares I might add!

Wow, what a very nice drum collection you have!

Is it possible for you to show a detail pictures of the one bar parallel strainer? I have NEVER seen a all original complete system before in all my years of collecting. That COB Chanute snare drum is very rare and if you are ever decide to sale it, I would love to buy it please! I also like the Oaklawn COB snare too!

Thank you...

Now, let me please be the first one to tell you that, I don't know much about snare drums especially anything about Camco snare drums. As for the rarity of the No.99 Super, I can't answer that, I'm sure they are out there. I will say this, I have seen more Oaklawn era two bar parallel strainer Supers vs the one bar Supers and, I have never seen another Chanute era No. 99 Super snare drum at all not even in junk parts wooden or COB.

The Camco No. 99 Super, I have is Chanute era and appears to be 100% original all the way down to the brass ends 16 strand snares... It also has the triple flange hoops top & bottom. The parallel strainer works perfectly and has these funny looking rubber caps on each throw-off? Well that's pretty much all, I know. Maybe some Camco No. 99 experts can add to this... production year? How many exists?

*** I have noticed the internal tone control on this No. 99 Super is completely opposite from what is illustrated in the Chanute catalog and I don't know why it's like that?

The Camco Aristocrat 450-M, I have is Oaklawn era and it appears to be 100% original as well minus the heads.

Sigh. I have an Oaklawn bop kit, but no snare. Would love to have an Aristocrat.

I'm pretty sure Donn's aluminum drum is a 13". He and I discussed it once via email. I have a 14" version of the same drum. I posted a vid once of me playing it. Nice drum. A lot of volume if you want it which helps the ghost notes cut very well if you play it softly.

Gee a 13" so, now you are telling me, I have a total of three (3) vintage Camco snare drums, I need to search the world for? A 3x13 Jazz Model, a 3x14 Jazz Model and that cool natural maple or walnut oval badge Oaklawn 6.5x14 snare drum. For me, I don't think it will ever happen because all three of them are nearly impossible to find.

Well you know where to find 2 aluminum 3" drums and one 3" BDP. Guess you gotta pony up or wait.

Anyone interested in a George Way shell with no extra holes? It's a 15" by I think about 7" maybe 8".

If either of you decide to thin out, don't forget to let me know. BTW, OSA, what are those rims on the LA M452?
