Hi everyone,

This is my first post here, and I was hoping I could get some help and/or recommendations on building a basic drum rack using (mostly) DW components. I have ZERO experience using or building a rack, and it's a little overwhelming. It's for a double bass kit with 2 rack toms, so I'm probably just going to build something similar to a Gibraltar GRS-850 DBL rack, but the main problem I'm having is figuring out what kind of clamps I'm going to need. I'm going to be using 2 curved rods connected to a leg in the middle of the 2 bass drums, and I'd like both curved rods to be at the same height, so I'm wondering what kind of connector I need to use. Should I use the hinged angle stacker (http://www.dwdrums.com/hardware/hw.asp?hw=dwsmRKC15AS)? Also... to connect the curved rods to the legs on either side, should I use the fixed right angle clamp (http://www.dwdrums.com/hardware/hw.asp?hw=dwsmRKC1515)? Will that work with the curved rods since they're at a 90 degree angle? Or should I use something like the T leg clamp (http://www.dwdrums.com/hardware/hw.asp?hw=dwsmRKC15T)?

And one last thing, I'm very confused by all the different clamps and their lack of descriptions. There's a V angle clamp, a V rack clamp, a V clamp with eyebolt, a V angle stacker, a clamp with drum key, etc. I've tried searching online to see if I can figure out the most common uses of the different clamps, but I can't seem to find any detailed descriptions anywhere, including YouTube and the DW website. All I need are 2 clamps to mount the toms, and probably 2 or 3 clamps for cymbal boom arms, so if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.
