Anyone playing the Ludwig Neusonics?
Loved the ClubDate SE kits with cherry ply shells but dont have a kit any longer.
These are maple and cherry ply shells.
Would love to hear some thoughts or opinions on them.
Anyone?

I've only checked them out at the store but they seem like they would be a great kit. I don't like the matte finishes but they have a black cortex that is nice and the natural maple is nice too.

I play the black cortex seen in the profile pic to the left. Great kit for the money. And the rack tom comes with a tom holder.

Bought some with Ludwig brass knuckles ie altas arch.
I'll get an Inde later.
Been a long time since ive had a new kit.
Black cortex,12,16,22, the Arch was thrown in, went thru Sweetwater.
I asked about the wrap being thin,he confirmed that it was.
After my experience with my Clubdate SE bubbling after minimal exposure,i am gun shy but...
Thats ok,the sound is what i like about them.
Good experience over all!
Thanks for the input!
Appreciated

Currently have Remo vintage coated Ambassadors on toms with a ec2 on the kick. Snare drum is a copperphonic with a CS coated.

The store that I purchased my Classic Maple set from, Music Manor in Lansing, MI, has a new set of them for sale at $799.00

I checked them out, but I wasn't a big fan of the mate finish.

Ok,
28664.jpeg

Well, got her about 10 am today.
Slapped it together!
Pros: beautiful cherry interiors
The claws are beautiful and distinctive.
Arch functions great and versatile.
Love the mini lugs.
They sound bigger than their size like the Cherry ClubDates.
Edges perfect.
Tunes up no problem
Shells are very thin,resonate great.
Taking them to a jam Fri,get to hear them out front.
Light drums
Cons: spurs are ok,look cheap.
Wrap is not glossy but a little shine there.
Put coated Emps i scabbed from another kit, will get a 12 & 16 cl Emps and an Emad for the bass, port ring for resno port.
All in all,a great sounding kit with punch.
Plays great

Well,i played the NeuSonics at a jam last night.
Im in love!
The drums had a presence i hadnt heard in a while!
The 12 sang with a throaty tone,it wasnt shy like some 8x12s,it had cajones to spare.
The 16 growled and punched in the low end.
Borh toms have coated Emps batter and Amb.resnos.
Full rich tone,great tuning range.
Very sensitive, react wonderfully with stick or brush.
The bass was phat, solid, feathering was wonderful, tone, big punch!
SK1 batter w Ludwig Resno ported.
Ease in setting up.
I wondered how it would go with the Atlas Arch and it was easy on,easy off.
Overall, the fit and finish are well done.
The edges perfect but i was concerned about the bass with such sharp edges, the drum was so lively and the note was not tight, thats why i went with the SK1 to bring out some of those lows and it worked great,i was concerned with the spurs, they could be a weak link.
Ludwig shoulda done better.
The cortex is cool, its gleams but not shine.
Fingerprints show up on cortex, thats about it,so far.
I love the kit, sounded fantastic and looked sharp, muscular.
The 6.5 Blackro was made for this kit,it really rounded out the set!
NeuSonics are a win in my book inspite of the spurs!
Ok,im done!
