I think the adjective I’m thinking here is “Regal”.

Yes, more pictures and review, please.

I’ve thus far been able to avoid the gravitational pull of Planet Gretsch, but the sheer mass of those rims and the cosmic girth of those shells...really alluring.

Congratulations.
Ha ha, well-put! I indeed was compelled into the gravity of Nitrocellulose lacquer! I was helpless against its pull....

Absolutely beautiful. That's one of my favorite shades-- kinda reminds me of Yamaha's short-lived "Deep Blue" finish on the Recording Customs. What are the sizes?
I will have to check that Yamaha color out...the sizes are traditional: 22 x 14, 8 x 12, 9 x 13, 16 x 16, 6.5 x 14 snare.

Just gorgeous.

Why USA over Broadcaster ?
Thanks! I like the sound of USA Custom; have always had them...if it ain't broke....and so on. I know Broadcasters are great, though. It took some doing to get the Broadkaster front head! At first, they didn't want to do it...you know, "Those are for Broadkasters only" or something like that.
