Hey guys this may should go in the video section. If so feel free to move it there.

I finally got around to making some snare videos without holding my cell phone like usual. Just used a GoPro. Not mics, so still not the best sound, but you get the idea .

I left them at my usual medium to high tuning levels. Excuse the bad playing. I'm horrible at just doing simple test videos lol.

Hope you guys enjoy these. I love making them and hearing all the different nuances between the materials.

My favorite in person right now is the Tama Rosewood and the DW Purple Heart. After listening back though, to me, the Acrolite came in first with the DrumCraft Cast Bronze in 2nd. Really loved how these 2 sounded on a recording.

The only one of my collection not in the videos is my 14x6.5 Pearl Sensitone Aluminum. It usually stays on the band trailer. I'll get it uploaded soon!

Nice collection sir. My favorites were the Tama Rosewood and the Drum Craft cast bronze. Have you tried cast hoops on that cast bronze yet? Some Duluth cast bronze rims would sound killer on that shell you have.

Thanks! I did have a cast top on but put it on the pork pie. I'll add another one before long. Really love the crack die cast tops add

Listening back and comparing to my old Ludwig black beauty, I just can't tell much of a difference between it and this Pork Pie. My wife asked why I didn't sell the Pork Pie and get the real thing. I just can't hear a couple hundred dollars worth of a difference. I'd rather spend the money on different cymbals.

Maybe later I'll have the real thing again, but for now I'm pretty impressed with this Pork Pie.
