1990 Ludwig LM400 Supraphonic - $200.00 delivered - SOLD

This is a pretty decent 5"X14" Supraphonic in the Monroe NC badge and I place it around 1990 for the date as nothing is printed inside. The drum is FULL of new Ludwig replacement parts including all 10 lugs and strainer. The hopes are heaver than the orgional but I do not know the maker, maybe newer Ludwigs? The shell is in pretty nice condition with minor pitting around mostly the bead but it had been knocked over on the strainer (thus the new one, I could not get the orgional to line back up well) so it was carefully straightened back out. It was never out of round, just dented at that point. The orgional owner thought it was ruined, but was really not a big deal at all. Comes with new Remo and the light duty bag free.

OK gang, the title has been change to reflect that two of the snares are sold and just the Ludwig LM400 remains. Price drop down to $200.00 delivered with the free light bag.

OK guys, first my apologies for keeping this drum at the top of the page, that is NOT my intention. The $190 is my bottom for now (I have more than that in the replacement parts and heads) so I wont be bumping it up with price drops. But I was asked since I stated that I had repaired a couple of dents in the shell, could I post photos of those areas. In truth, I when disclosed the fact that I had repaired the shell, I should have thought to include photos from the very beginning! Sorry for the over site but I will correct that here.

Here is both sides of the strainer.... it looks really nice right under the throw...

The real damage was to the side of it and it left a small crease in the shell that you can still see after the repair. Here is a close up from outside and inside the drum of that area next to the throw...

Next was the butt.... you can see a small area inside next to a screw but it is hidden outside by the boot mounting foot....

Last is the bead... I mentioned that it was pitting around the bead, this is the worst panel on the drum...

And last I forgot to mention that besides the new Remo heads... it does come with new Puresound wires. In a nut shell, this is a good solid example of an almost 30 year old Supraphonic for under $200.00.

Thanks guys, hopefully someone else will think so as well! I'm going to set on it both here and Reverb and I know shes worth every penny I'm asking. Once I decide to let something go, I want it gone quick (because I want to do it before I change my mind) so it kills me that no one has grabbed it.

I get anise because I only sell when I have found something I want more.... and that is the deal here. But someone will grab it, it sounds great!

Thanks again guys.
