Nick is still fantastic. I saw his Saucer Full of Secrets show a couple of years ago, and it was very, very good.

I didn't know that Nick was a Paiste guy until seeing the Pompeii video in the 80s. The cymbals are rather laid back sounding on a lot of PF tracks, owing to Nick's great touch. They sounded harsh and tinny to me, at least the way they were miked and EQd here, and they really put me off at the time. Now, I like how in-your-face they are.

Great sticking on the Saucerful fill, plus seems like he tuned the second floor tom UP.

The groove in the middle of Echoes is undeniably cool. Plus, I understand that the producers lost the footage for the rest of the band for One of These Days. Ha.
