And Paul has a REALLY good ear for cymbals.

If I close my eyes it feels/sound kinda like playing an old k

The 15" old A hats match perfectly as does the 22" overhammered.

I loved the way that 21" Bounce Overhammered sounded in videos. Sounds as good as a cymbal possible can to me. Don't know if I'll ever find one, though!

As JDA would say, old As and old Ks shared the same DNA, which explains the similarities in feel and sound. They both sit in the music in a similar way. The biggest difference is probably the frequencies that are emphasized - the cymbal‘s EQ.

That’s the thing with thin 24 A’s - so much of the frequency range is inaudible that they come across as very subdued and dry even though they’re pumping out tons of sonic energy.
