I am considering doing a 14, 16 and 18” single headed, or I could do them double. I am leaning monster concert toms.

Discuss…

Lesson learned: speak to type does really weird stuff…

Your preliminary data is insufficient for me to provide any useful calculations, Captain.

Fair enough.

I have a single headed premier floor Tom but has an edge on the bottom. I just bought a set of lugs for the bottom just in case. I have another Premier-esque floor tom. Premier bass drum and a Tama rack tom.

If you do not already have a kit with that configuration, concert toms, then, would be an expedient, economical, and sonically diverse choice.

In addition, they are obese in tone or in larger sizes, I believe the proper wording would be “phat” or “hella phat” depending on membrane tension.

I've picked up a 15 double head (MACH lugs) and 14, 16 concert toms in stainless steel to start that Bonham kit

They're cheap right now. 22 bass drum on eBay for $200.00... I'm, of course, looking for a 24. We're talking orphans, here... Good luck Dumpy!

24” are hard to find as orphans for some reason. 24” stainless are the proverbial needle in a haystack.

Good luck!
